We’ve always believed it’s important to look deeper into statistics when it comes to real estate. Nationally, the supply of homes for sale is improving but remains limited. In this quote, according to the Realtor, “There were 7.1% more homes for sale in June compared to the same time in 2022, which really translates into 41,000 more homes available to buy on a typical day during the month compared to one year ago”. At the same time though, Realtor.com highlights that the inventory growth rate for homes continued to slow for the fourth month in a row. This is highlighted in our local market by the number of homes for sale in June 2023 compared to June 2023 in King County which is off by -28% so we are nowhere near those national numbers! It’s important for anyone buying or selling in the 2nd half of the year to understand their LOCAL markets to make the best, most informed decision for their situation.
